What is infrared sauna?
Infrared saunas use infrared panels instead of conventional heat to easily penetrate human tissue, heating up your body before heating up the air. It works to raise your core body temperature to produce a deep, detoxifying sweat at the cellular level where the majority of toxins reside. The infrared light (experienced as heat) is the invisible part of the sun’s spectrum with the ability to penetrate human tissue, giving a soothing, natural warmth.
What is the difference between an infrared sauna and a traditional sauna?
Unlike a traditional sauna that uses hot rocks or steam to heat the air, infrared saunas don’t heat the air around you. Instead, they use infrared lamps (that use electromagnetic radiation) to warm your body directly. Traditional saunas heat the air at extremely high temperatures which can make the experience unbearably hot and difficult to breathe. Because infrared heats the body directly instead of simply heating the air, infrared saunas are seven times more effective for detoxification.
What do I wear?
There is no requirement for dress in the infrared sauna. You may wear clothes, a robe, a towel, or sauna in the nude.
Will I sweat?
Don’t be surprised if you don’t sweat during the first few sessions. Sweating will increase with regular use, removing toxins and leaving you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. However, once your body does begin to sweat, in our saunas, you will experience the deepest, most detoxifying sweat of your life.
